The Tavern On Castle Leuchtenburg

Here, you can dine in traditionally medieval charm. At our Castle Tavern, maids and house peasants will show you a warm welcome and spoil you with a selection of cooked food or light refreshments. No matter if traditional or light, our cuisine is plentiful in character. We cook with regional and seasonal products. 

The Castle Tavern has space for up to 150 people and can be booked for private events. Guests have a marvellous view across the Saale Valley, toilets are close to the restaurant and there is direct access to the Inner Bailey via the terrace of the Castle Tavern.

Our Snack Bar At The Visitor Centre

The Visitor Centre welcomes its guests. Here you can obtain your Castle and event tickets, visit our shop, get some advice and find interesting toilets. And: you can take a rest and try our delicious refreshments from our snack bar.

During our opening times, we serve tasty hot drinks and light or small cooked refreshments. Take a seat and enjoy the picturesque views across the Saale Valley towards the Thuringian Forest and take a look at nature’s roof.
